JOIN US for a full day Choral Workshop
in a unique venue
This is a wonderful opportunity for singers of all standards to enjoy a day singing a selection of Handel’s choruses from works including Messiah, Dixit Dominus, Coronation Anthems, Samson, Saul and Israel in Egypt, in Sevenoaks School’s stunning Pamoja Hall.
The sessions will be led by Goldsmiths Choral Union’s enthusiastic, energetic, talented young conductor, Jack Apperley. Jack obtained a Masters in Choral Conducting from the Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Patrick Russill. He is the music director of Goldsmiths Choral Union and Concordia Voices, and the conductor of Epsom Chamber Choir.
We are lucky to be joined by Maria Forsström who is much in demand as a leading Swedish mezzo-soprano and as a world-class vocal coach. She is known for her extraordinary ability to improve singing technique and vocal tone in large groups and has worked regularly with the Gothenburg Symphony Chorus, the Swedish Chamber Choir and the French Radio Choir.
We will be accompanied by Stephen Jones, GCU’s hugely experienced and much-loved accompanist and assistant conductor, and also the founder and music director of City Chamber Choir.
We will work towards a performance from 5.00-6.00pm, after which the bar will be open, so do bring along your family and friends.

17.00-18.00 Performance (guest tickets are available for £10)

All music for this event will be provided on the day. There is no particular dress code for the workshop nor for the performance.
